PALEO CHILI

This chili is perfect for cooler nights on the couch or serving to guests at home. This is the ultimate comfort food for the meat lover and winter enthusiast. I've tested this recipe multiple ways and I've found this to be the best version. It's bursting with flavor and it's super easy to throw the ingredients in the crockpot, and come home to a good-smelling house, ready to serve. Enjoy!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 6 hrs. high or 4 hrs. low

Total Time: 4-8 hrs.

Servings: 16

INGREDIENTS

  • (Very) Lean Turkey

  • 2 16. oz. diced tomatoes

  • 1 16 oz. kidney beans

  • 1 medium onion diced

  • 1 16. oz. black beans

  • 1 16 oz. corn (optional)

  • 2 cups chicken or beef broth

  • 1/2 bottle of your favorite bbq sauce

  • 1 Tb. cinnamon

  • 3 pinches cayenne pepper

  • 1 Tb. oregano

  • Desired amount of sour cream and shredded low fat cheese for topping (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cook turkey just enough until red is no loner visible, then add to the crockpot.

2. Add in all ingredients minus the spices and stir.

3. Now add the spices and stir again.

5. Eat with tons of leftovers for the week or serve to company.
